# Privacy Policy

"World Cup 2026" (the "Bot") is a Discord bot that posts public World Cup
football match events (goals, red cards, kick-off, full-time) to a channel you
choose.

## Data we store

The Bot stores only:

- your **Discord server (guild) ID**, and
- the **ID of the channel** you select with `/setup`.

These identifiers are kept solely to know **where to post match alerts**. They
are not personal data, and the Bot does not store anything that identifies you or
any other user.

## Data we do NOT collect

The Bot does **not**:

- read, store, or process message content;
- collect usernames, user IDs, emails, or any personal information;
- use any privileged Discord intents;
- track, profile, advertise, or sell any data;
- share data with third parties.

Match data comes from a public third-party source and contains no information
about you or your server.

## Retention and removal

You are in control at any time:

- run **`/stop`** to stop all alerts, or
- **remove the Bot** from your server.

The minimal configuration above (server and channel IDs, which are not personal
data) may be retained in an inactive state and carries no personal information.

## Children's privacy

The Bot collects no personal data from anyone and is intended to be used in line
with Discord's Terms of Service and minimum age requirements.

## Changes

This policy may be updated; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest
version. Continued use of the Bot after a change constitutes acceptance.
